It is Saturday, March 7th, which means that we leave for South America in 13 days. We'll be in Argentina from the 20th to the 28th of March, in Buenos Aires and Tandil, a city in the interior of the country. Here's a picture to get you acquainted with the chorale and Paul, our director.
Everyone... have a wonderful, safe, tuneful, and exciting trip. I know you'll represent Colby admirably. And what a sendoff for Argentina: the whole Chorale assembled before Alex Katz' spread of five couples caught up in interpersonal tangos!

Dear Chorale --It's been a long time since our afternoon together in November but i still have such fond memories of that rehearsal...
ReplyDeleteI just found out about your blog -- what a fabulous trip this is going to be! Have a wonderful time, sing your hearts out, immerse yourselves in the culture, language, art and food (especially the food!) and come home with lots of pictures and stories. i will look forward to hearing about it, and sharing your successes long-distance.
Best wishes and stay happy, stay healthy and stay safe!

Have a fantastic time! I remember the excitement of my first trip with the Chorale -- we traveled around Southern California, sleeping on gym floors in Ojai and rooming with west-coast students at Harvey Mudd...
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see Paul still there with the baton. I learned a lot from him, most importantly, to not accept mediocrity from myself. Good enough isn't always good enough.
Enjoy!
