Bienvenidos a Argentina!

We all arrived at Buenos Aires today, safe and sound, though a little tired from a day of travel. We had a little trouble at Logan airprot with a delayed flight, but we made the best of our lengthened stay at the terminal by putting on a mini-concert for our fellow fliers. We were soon in the air and on our way to Miami. Unfortunately, when we arrived at Miami International Airport, we discovered that not all of the chorale members would fit on our direct flight to Argentina. With quick adjustments and a little bit of luck, however, we managed to find planes that would fit everyone and arrive in Argentina today. So, in short, we encountered a bit of trouble on our journey, but I can truly say that any problems we may have had were entirely worth it. Buenos Aires is an amazing city with beautiful architecture, interesting people, a lively culture, and, most importantly, WARMTH! Just kidding, but seriously, it is around 70 degrees here! The chorale ate lunch together, but we had a free day to wander after that. Some people walked through the botanical gardens, others swam in the hotel pool, and still more went out for ice cream. We are looking forward to the rest of our stay here and to our concerts, and we hope that you keep reading about our experiences over the next week. Well, I am off to bed to prepare for our concert tomorrow. Thank you for reading.

Buenas Noches,
Michael

  1. sounds wonderful. Rachel (Guest) wrote to let us know there is a computer in the lobby, and she can check e-mail, which is great since she doesn't have a phone that works in Argentina. How nice of you to throw a free concert in the airport - I hope the choristers got a kick out of that.
